Felidae is a magazine for all cat lovers and animal enthusiasts. It’s light and breezy & makes for a good page through at the vet’s office or local humane society.
The Process
Felidae Magazine was born as a virtual project exploring InDesign’s interactive PDF features.
I had so much fun with the curating and concepting for this project that when I finished the initial version, I knew I’d be making additions and revisions down the line.
Upon revisiting the project the following spring, I decided to rework the magazine from a PDF with individual pages into a print version with page spreads. In doing so, I was able to explore the editorial design style further, as well as more of InDesign.

In the end, Felidae Magazine’s March 2025 Edition is 28 pages (including front and back cover), and features 6 articles about black cats, as well as images from a wide array of photographers.
